Join Western NY Longbeards and Turkeys For Tomorrow for the 2027 Youth Hunt, a two-day spring turkey event for youth hunters in New York.
Event Details
- Dates: Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, 2027
- Check-in and weigh-in: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM each day
- Entry fee: $25 per youth hunter, including an event T-shirt
- Weigh-in stations: Locations will be announced in the coming months
- Hourly leaderboard updates will be shared on Facebook and Instagram.

Prizes
- Grand Prize: Full-body turkey mount by The Art of Taxidermy NY
- 1st Prize: Lifetime New York State Hunting License and a one-year onX Hunt subscription
- 2nd Prize: Lifetime New York State Hunting License
- 3rd Prize: Turkey gun
- 4th Prize: Turkey vest and call
Participant Benefits
All participating hunters will receive a gift bag and event T-shirt.
Rules
- All participants must follow New York State Fish and Game regulations.
- Birds must be harvested in New York State during the Spring 2027 season.
- No frozen birds will be accepted.
- Birds will only be accepted at a weigh-in station during the listed times. No exceptions.
- In the event of a tie, Western NY Longbeards will measure the longest middle toe.
