Frequently Asked Questions
What is Turkeys For Tomorrow?
In short, Turkeys For Tomorrow is a collection of motivated turkey hunters determined to not sit idle while concerns about our beloved resource build. TFT is not only an organization that is dedicated to saving the wild turkey, it is one that promotes conservation, ethical hunting, and the mentoring of future hunters of tomorrow. Through collaborative work with various state wildlife agencies, private landowners, and other non-profit organizations TFT hopes to provide sound and effective solutions to current problems the wild turkey faces. TFT will always put the wild turkey at the forefront of the organization.
How is tft different than nwtf?
We are separate organizations with the same goal, putting more turkeys on the ground. But as with any 2 entities, we may go about the process a bit differently- it's actually inevitable. We have different people making decisions. Think the old adage "there's more than one way to skin a cat". While both organizations have already shown to work cohesively in funding common ground projects, there may be areas where each organization may feel the need to focus more attention separately. In other words, while one may be paddling the boat the other may be erecting a sail- the end result is the vessel moving forward at a quicker pace ensuring we all enjoy the wild turkey for many tomorrows to come!
Does TFT compensate the Board of Directors?
Board members are not compensated and are on term limits. The board members volunteer their time and efforts solely to help the wild turkey.
Why should I choose to become a member?
TFT is a member based organization so by becoming a member you make our mission possible. We value you above all else, we were founded on the backs of turkey hunters and intend to remain loyal to the turkey hunters we all share the woods with.
How Much is it to join TFT?
Annual membership starts at $50. That dollar amount best helps us help the wild turkey. We were able to invest 80 cents of every dollar raised back directly into helping the resource in 2021. We understand how hard you work for your money and plan to use your generous donation to impact the future of wild turkey conservation. Your donation does not go unnoticed and it is our mission to keep you, the members, informed along the way!
Is TFT a 501(C)3 tax-deductible nonprofit?
TFT is a registered nonprofit organization, all donations are tax deductible.
We are also a registered nonprofit on Facebook and Amazon Smile.
How can I get involved with TFT?
The easiest way to get involved with TFT is to sign up as a member.

How many employees make up TFT?
At this time we have one paid employee, a Director of Operations who wears many hats- including social media management, relationship development, sponsorship acquisition, outreach, and event planning.
TFT is made up of a large portion of volunteers and dedicated turkey hunters who want to make a difference for the wild turkey. TFT is currently staffed with one full time employee but can see the need in the near future to hire additional staff as the organization grows.
Does TFT pay anyone for endorsement?
TFT does not pay anyone to endorse our organization. We are proud to boast several influential persons who are doing this solely because of their love for the resource.
What is TFT hoping to do for wild turkeys as they move forward?
TFT has the wild turkey as the number one priority, we intend to improve habitat and make the landscape a better place for hens to raise a brood. We will lead the way with research based conservation initiatives.
How can I get TFT in my state?
If you are interested in starting a chapter in your area contact us!
If you are simply interested in getting research or habitat improvement projects in your local area we have a clause in our bylaws that states that anyone who raises 25k in their state can choose for it to stay in that locality to benefit wild turkeys in your state.
How do turkey hunters help the effort?
No other segment of society has contributed as much to the conservation and management of wildlife as hunters have, and they continue to do so. Dollars raised and spent by hunters have maintained and/or enhanced millions of acres of wildlife habitat, for literally thousands of species, the majority of which are NOT hunted, fished for, or trapped. Hunting opportunities for wild turkeys and other wildlife accrue ONLY as a result of sound, science-based conservation programs and strategies.
